Sharing these songs at summer camps and community gatherings brought to my attention how few songs celebrate our relationship with nature. When I learned 37% of the world’s tree species are facing extinction, I wondered... what if our lack of conscious connection to the source of our life support (that includes trees) could be contributing to this loss? When was the last time I thanked a tree for oxygen, shade and beauty?
