Sustainability Services
One significant liability of our pandemic has been the lack of freedom to play outdoors and connect with the earth, others and self. As people look for ways to re-enter the natural world, Sustainable Tahoe has created a guided one-day immersion to activate your Earth Gene thru DNA (Direct Nature Access).
Your 5-step adventure starts and ends at IVCB Visitor Center, Incline Village, NV. Your loop follows Incline Creek to Village Green and back up along 3rd Creek to Visitor Center. Each guided interactive and immersive session takes an hour with one of the 5 trained guides. All supplies needed for the experience will be provided. Participants only need to bring: water, comfortable layers (depending on weather and shoes that are easy to take off)
Grounding with Gratitude to replant your perception
Crafting a leather seed pouch and coil basket
Follow the Water to plant your seeds and intentions
Rhythm of the Stick and Stone to stretch and tone
Forest Bathing to unplug, slow down and soak up the medicine of the forest
Each session is limited to 12 people at a time (to allow adequate physical distancing)

The presentation and group brainstorming session broke open our conventional ways of thinking so that we were able to see new paradigms, see new possibilities and create a Geotourism model based on one of the unique features in the area. It was fascinating watching the room become energized and transformed by the excitement of this new way of seeing our community’s inherent assets, seeing the need for collaboration using the TriNomics model and presenting it in a way that benefited all. We gained a new understanding and were empowered with new insights to have the ability to integrate Geotourism into our unique region of natural features and history.
I would highly recommend Jacquie Chandler and Penelope Curtis of Sustainable Tahoe to work with your group to present and develop a working model of Geotourism, enabling the promotion, education and stewardship of the unique features of your area while increasing revenue directly and indirectly to your local community.
